Piper is doing better.
Actually no new news... which is good news... I guess. They don't know what caused her problems, but she is responding well to the antibiotic. She does still have IV's and lots of bruising from all of the poking around for veins. Apparently veins in infants will collapse after a day or two and you have to find a new one for the IV. We remember the search for veins in Sharla... So... Martha is hoping to spend lots of time with Piper in NICU. She hopes to keep up the people/loving contact when Mel is resting.
By the way... Mel is doing well also. Billy is a trooper. PopPop... well...
Joe has gone home to rescue the pool and whatever. He hopes to commute to Austin for a while.
We think Mel will check out of the hospital tomorrow. The hospital does allow homesteading... or "nesting" as they call it. Which means she can nest in a vacant room while Piper is still in the hospital. She will get no care... she will just be there... right now there are lots of empty rooms... nice rooms... She will stay there, but not officially.
Piper's Family thanks you for your prayers. She will take all of them you can dish out. Especially while she is in the hospital...
By the way she has finally uncurled from the fetal position and she is 23 inches long... she is going to be a long legged beauty... Billy will have his hands full.
Thank you. God Bless You.
