Thank You

Thank you for the prayers. Piper is doing better today. Martha and I just got back from NICU and she was active and her color was much better. She was very determined to get her whole fist in her mouth.

She still has a little fluid in her lungs but they say she does not have pneumonia. She is responding to the antibiotics. They are using 2 broad based antibiotics as they do not know what the infection is caused by yet. It still sounds like she will be in NICU until Thursday as the antibiotic treatment will go on until then.

So... we are breathing a lot better today... and... so is Piper. Her breathing and heart rate are both much better today.

Martha and I got real sleep at Piper's house. Billy wheeled Mel up to NICU 4 times during they night to nurse and supplemental bottle feed. I understand Billy did a great job of bottle feeding. Way to go Billy... They did get some sleep last night... they both look better.

Thank you for your Prayers! Just knowing that there are so many people praying for Piper makes us feel better. We think it is working...

Sorry, no photos today. Borrowed computer...

She is beautiful. She looks like both of them. She is blessed to have Billy and Melissa to watch over her... and Charlene and Bill. I would love to be there when you two get to see her for the first time...
