A New Home

No... not for us.

A new home for a local Mockingbird.  A Sago Palm that has been in our backyard for almost 40 years, split and became a double headed Sago a few years ago.  Having two heads makes it a bit funny looking and hard to trim with it's pointy things sticking out in every direction.

But our local Mockingbird thought that sounded good and safe...

Momma Mockingbird hasn't dive bombed us but she really picks on a baby squirrel.  The little squirrel runs down the top of the fence and when it gets even with the Sago Palm it just makes noise and flips it's tail until the Momma Mockingbird attacks.  It's a daily thing and is great entertainment... I know... I know... retired people are easy to entertain...
