Hummingbird Nest

We had the pleasure of a Hummingbird nest hanging in the tree just a few feet from our kitchen window.  We watched the Momma bird (I am guessing here) sitting on the nest and also fighting off any bird coming to the feeder hanging about 15 feet away.

One day we noticed a little beak sticking up out of the nest... and then we saw two.  We got to watch the Momma bird feed the babies and finally one day we watched the babies stretch their wings. And then they were gone.  The next few days we saw the babies at the feeders in the yard but soon we couldn't distinguish them from the others.

Here are a few photos.  They were wary and we didn't get many of the birds.  I cut the nest out of the tree since they never return to the nest after they fly away.  It was very well camouflaged.
