The dining room table has come together in the dining room. I had to get it assembled all the way to make the limiting stops. They stop the wings from being pulled out too far. I made those today and it will take a couple of days to stain them to match the table. When they are stained they get screwed on underneath the leaves and I am done.
With every project I learn how I would build it the next time and this project is no different. It was really a challenge and it was fun.
The top looks pretty red in all of these photos but it is really darker than it shows here.
In real life the color is in between the overhead shot below and the photo above it. The plan was to put a brown stain on top of this color but we liked color the way it was... so I stopped.
