2 Months of Mess

Well... I have been a little slow in my remodeling posts... I had a little problem.

I stepped into a hole while walking off the #1 tee box while playing golf.... I know... no sympathy... that is certainly okay... I am a lucky guy. For the better part of 3 weeks I have been laying on the floor with my foot elevated. I have been to the Doc twice and believe I have a mild, high ankle sprain... I am so glad it is mild.. it really is painful. I didn't want to stop working and I have probably prolonged the recovery. So... progress has slowed.... stopped... and crawled... and it starting to move again. We were fortunate all of the ceiling sheet rock was done and the electrical was done when I was injured.

Now we are starting to make a little progress, all of the sheet rock is done and the walls should all be textured this week. Next week I hope the wood ceiling will go up, and the kitchen will be totally closed... everything out... bare... no cabinets... no nothing.

We have picked out the tile and wood for the floors and picked an installer. I hope the floors will be going in about 10 days from now. Today we looked at granite and actually came to an agreement right off the bat... now to get a price. I did walk about 100 yards today... a new record.

In the middle of all this new windows have been installed for the whole house. They did measure one wrong and that one will be here next week. I was waiting for the new windows to arrive to tear apart one last exterior wall... to accommodate the new size windows. Love the new windows.

All of our appliances arrived... early... and are in one end of the living room... ... ... !

Things in general are a mess, but there will be lots of progress in the next week... I hope.
