It was a beautiful night for anything on Monday night. And it was an especially wonderful night for a River Parade. We went to Jake's Place where they had the patio closed off and were selling seats. It is a great place to view the parades on the River. The whole street level is closed off, so the store gets very little business. They compensate by selling about 40 seats. It is a large patio area and it is very comfortable. This is not an advertisement. It works pretty well to go down before the parade to eat... that way you can get fairly decent parking. They usually provide sodas and water and usually some type of light nibbles.
Anyhow... we did go down early for dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe. Abby loved it and... as always... she loved the music. She loves to dance. Tonight it was dancing in her highchair... with Mimi close at hand to save her... if need be. She is starting to get into sync with the music. Mimi, PopPop, and her Mommy thought she was the greatest... rightfully so.
By the way the food at the Rain Forest Cafe was good and the portions were huge... at least the salads were huge... we all had salad. None of us could eat more than half of it... and Joe hadn't eaten since breakfast. The margarita wasn't very good...
Abby is pretty independent... an understatement. It is difficult to get her to move at a steady pace... hence 1.2.3. We have all done it. We can really make up time with this effort.
We wish everyone could have been with us. Anyone up for the Christmas River Parade?

i love how yall got her alllll the way to the car and then mimi makes her go back at least 10 paces (which is 50 abby paces) to look at something.
