Been Busy

The utility room was a learning experience for me. It hasn't fallen down yet... I forgot to take a before photo. But maybe you can imagine those brown stained oak cabinets over the dryer and the stand alone plastic laundry sink. It looked good to us 30 years ago...

The tall cabinet next to the dryer holds the vacuum cleaner, digital TV antenna and the cordless electric vacuum also.

The upper cabinets are 18 inches deep... not the normal 12 inches deep of upper hanging cabinets... I was scared to make them any deeper.

The lower cabinets are 21 inches deep... not the normal 24 inches... I had to squeeze them down to accomodate the door.

The cabinet doors are frame and panel with a quirky molding.

The countertops are dark gray speckled formica.

This was all made from plywood, poplar boards and a 4x8 sheet of formica. I bought the crown molding...

So it is on to the next project now... a dresser and changing table for Pacita Suess. Wahoo!!!!
