As Grandparents, Valentines Day is Different

No fancy dinner and a romantic movie for us.

Just a visitor. Abby came to spend the night with Mimi and PopPop. As usual Mimi was well prepared. Cupcakes were made and several still needing frosting.

There was lots of smiles and laughter. I am not sure who had the most fun.

Abby is a "chair scooter"... the counter tops are not safe anymore. When Mimi told her she needed Abby's help... She knew what to do... scoot a chair over to the counter, right next to the goodies. As you can see Mimi did a little demo and then let Abby take charge.

There was no hesitation here... the frosting was being slathered on with much care and affection. To our surprise the frosting knife never went anywhere close to Abby's mouth!

And... the first bite was a cupcake without frosting. This girl still has lots to learn...

Since Abby is Sharla's daughter she is a fresh fruit eater... organic of course... She actually liked the blueberries better. Being the sweet considerate daughter that she is... she made two special ones for her Mommy, since she knew her Mommy likes blueberries too. Unfortunately the blueberries on those cupcakes disappeared??

It is amazing where you find frosting after an event like this... and of course... Fingerprints.

Since all of this occurred at Mimi and PopPop's house there weren't a lot of rules... she actually ate her cup cake before dinner... Don't tell her Mommy... What happens at Mimi's stays at Mimi's.

Of course there was a little cleaning up to do after she was done... I think we have a little trickster on our hands... What do you think?

Wow what a fun Valentines Day you all had. Abby you are so smart. You cook, clean, do laundry, yard work, shopping and help make a list along with lots of talents. I'll talk to Ry Ry about paying more attention to you.
