Fingerprints

Well, Thanksgiving is over...

As we worked to bring the house back to a normal state... I noticed the fingerprints on the glass coffee table. Normally we get the Windex out and clean them off. But, this time... I left them there... for a while... as I thought a little deeper... while I was vacuuming...

Fingerprints. We all leave them. Not just with our fingers... but with our actions... our whole life leaves a fingerprint of sorts. In some ways our fingerprints will be wiped clean when we are gone... but in other ways our actions will keep our fingerprints alive after we are gone. And... it is not just through our kids or our family... it is all those lives we have had the opportunity to touch... hopefully we touched those lives in the right way.

There is still time to leave loving fingerprints.

By the way... Martha came along with the Windex... :-)

Was there a deeper meaning to the last line--"Martha came along with the windex"? :-)

OK sounds like I'm going to like Chesley retiring. Can Joe give lessons on what to do after retiring--- cleaning, inspiration writing, woodworking, photography, and cooking. If so, when do the lessons begin. I'll give that to chesley for Christmas.

Have him start with drinking... fishing... golfing... hunting...

He is already great at woodworking... I have seen his work.

Then he can start blogging... you know... sitting at the computer... for hours on end.

Oh yeah... walking...

Most important... He has to practice not doing anything at all until after the second cup of coffee and checking e-mail and the stock market... cant' rush the day.

Aren't you glad you commented??

Retirement is GREAT!!!
