Living Room Cabinets Done

Old Cabinets...

Going to a good home...

New ones...  not very dark gray like I thought I might do... We thought that color would make the room too contemporary and maybe smaller too.  So in the end they got the same color as the light cabinets in the kitchen. I just want the house to lean a little more contemporary... hope I didn't go too far.

Now there will be a little break on big projects.  I think I will make a little furniture... smaller projects.  Work on my boat a little and maybe even use it... gasp!  Next big project is making all new contemporary master bedroom furniture.  I plan on making a platform bed, a large dresser for Martha and a smaller one for me.  If I can squeeze a small desk in I will build that too.

The deck I built 30 years ago is sagging in a few places and needs some work. I put a new floor on it 18 years ago and I jacked it up and replaced all of the piers about 10 years ago, but the large beams and middle supports are all original.  So I guess I will repair it... but... unfortunately I have grandiose plans in my head.  A total redo with screens and ceiling fan... and roof... we will see...
