Well I finally got perfect weather... The HOTTEST week of the year so far !
So I ripped the old wall down and Martha says... "It is interesting being married to you..." I am still not sure what she meant...
I had to raise the threshold by 1/2 inch so the new door would clear any rug near the door in the entry hall.
I had to protect the inside of the house from weather and heat... man it was hot...
We were clearly styling for a few days this week !
The new door is really heavy and it was a struggle at times. It was hard work and I lost 5 pounds... tough diet. I slept just inside the door for two nights to be the night watchman (who slept on the job even thought the plastic was flapping in the breeze).
In the end I am prevailing. The outside is done and the inside is close.
I haven't made the trim for the inside yet as I wasn't sure I would like it... Different... huh?
