The table is made out of Padauk, an exotic wood from some exotic place. I wiped on 20 coats of satin finish, water based Polyurethane... which is very clear... adds no color... there is no stain...sure looks glossy here.
Last week I finished the re-designed pantry. It was a small closet type pantry before. I built it in the garage and then installed it in one piece... so we wouldn't starve from not being able to find the food for more than a day...
I have to laugh at the last comment... we can't find anything in the pantry now... we don't know which door to open! My version of a diet!
I am finishing out the new trim on the windows in the kitchen and dining room now. After that it is on to building the new dining room table. Somewhere I have to fit in the time to install a new front door... think I will buy that.
