The Book of Flyer

I decided to add links of others blogs to my blog... I will gradually add to the list as I have time.

One blog of particular interest to me is The Book of Flyer.  One of my pilot friends recently retired from Southwest Airlines.  He is a confirmed bachelor and a free spirit.  Ask almost any Southwest Flight Attendant and she will know him.

About 10-12 years ago he had a sailboat made in China.  It is wooden, teak, I think.  He had it shipped to the west coast and he built the interior of the boat himself.  He sailed down to Panama and through the canal and then on to the East Coast.  He then proceeded to sail long trips when he could manage big blocks of time off.  He is a very experience sailor... usually accompanied by pretty ladies... but, often by himself too. 

Well... he is off on the big trip now... Around the world... By himself.  He has a satellite  phone and he updates his blog as he sails around the world.  He departed his home port on March 24, 2011.  You can live vicariously through his many ports of call.  Have fun.
