Saturday I was working on the kitchen cabinets and Martha was coming home from a function. There was a strange car parked out front when Martha got home. Two very cute girls got out of the car with a present and they were looking for Martha.
Martha invited them in, but didn't open the gift. Finally Amy and Jamey said that she was supposed to open the gift while they were there. So she started opening it, wondering why Amy started focusing her camera.
The gift was Martha's early birthday present. Her birthday is October 31st and her present doesn't really arrive until November 3, when Piper's little sister or brother is due.
These are the cute messengers. They are Young Life leaders in Austin that hang out at Billy and Melissa's house a lot. Meet Amy and Jamey.
After the beautiful bearers of good news left, Martha went back out to check the mail... and she found this partially inflated ballon blowing around in our bushes... can you read it? It wasn't attached to anything... just caught in the bushes. We had a good laugh over this--is it a message from God or is He messing with us? Who cares? Girl or boy, we're thrilled.

So neat. I love the way they told you guys! Carter's hoping for another boy in the family so he has someone to help him out when the girls try to put make up and tutus on him.
It appears "no pun intended" that you received two messages that day - but I am with you - boy or girl, it doesn't matter. Just thrilled for the new addition :-)
