One week and one day

Well the ovens are gone. They were convection and self cleaning. Years ago, when they were new they had to be repaired after the self cleaning cycle failed and it started beeping.

Well... after Martha made a cherry pie for the finale of the ovens, they started doing it again... beeping at midnight! I had to flip off the circuit breaker at the main box outside, to kill the ovens... Well, I am not used to the new back door at night... and the light has not been reinstalled... nearly fell on my face... as the steps have not been installed yet. I got to thinking... it is not a good time for a broken leg. Note to self... "Be Careful!!" May be a good time to build a new set of steps... and go buy a couple of new lights.

The ovens are gone... really gone... cabinet and all.

This is the wall of windows that you used to see as you came in the front door. The windows are gone as of today. Tomorrow a beam will go there and where the ovens were. I can't wait to see the open look.

I was able to use some of my stained glass skills today to cut one of the old windows down and make it the right size for the big window above the breakfast booth... surprised myself. Sonny and I enjoyed a drink in a couple of chairs placed where the booth would be... and all I can say is Yahoo! I like the view. Forgot to take a photo of that.

This is starting to be fun.

When the ceiling comes down the kitchen will close for a day or two. It will be a mess. I hope to excel at dust control.

Closed and no oven. hummm can I come to your house?
I just might have to come by and just take a look and see for myself. WOW what a big job and it sounds so well organized.
BE CAREFUL!

I had a really hard time figuring it out! It's so weeeeeeeeeeeeird to see the kitchen all torn up! But very exciting.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the progress, it's definitely fun to watch.

What perfect timing on the ovens: "THE TIMER'S GOING OFF!!!!!!"
