Acting Young

We had to go to Florida early to find seats on a jet... so we had a few days to kill. With the Super Bowl in Miami and I think time trials at the Daytona 500 and the last Space Shuttle night launch... Florida was packed with people. Hotels, cars and airline seats were scarce. Since Tampa was a ways away, we were able to do all we came to do... but it was a drive.

We talked about looking at waterfront real estate to kill time... we had heard rumors of great prices, but in the end we knew we would never leave San Antonio... so what should we do? The same rain and cold that was in San Antonio was on our heels all the way to Florida.

So we decided to be kids again !!

We went to Epcot on a day that was forecast to be rainy... so no crowds.

Our favorite attraction was a tie... Soaring (a hang glider ride across California) and Test Track (a car roller-coaster kind of ride). There were a lot of gray haired people there. A few kids and too many little babies... what were those Mothers thinking?

Joe thought the Troll looked like a twin brother so he had his photo taken with it.

The rain held off until we were done. When we started driving back to the hotel it was flooding and we unknowingly drove right through a tornado watch... with tornadoes that actually touched down.

By the time we got to the hotel the weather was breaking up and it was windy and cold. But the sun was setting and we were surrounded by great seafood restaurants... our room had a Sleep Number bed and a HD TV... life is good. We ate at Whiskey Joe's the previous night, so tonight it was Crabby Bills... right down stairs.

Looks like a really fun trip! I remember loving Epcot when you guys took us so long ago. But I also remember it storming every single day.

I like mom's red dress. Her skin looks a little splotchy though. And her ears are getting a little big. She's super cute though.

i agree with kim about mom's dress. cute. mom, didn't you hear oprah, she said never to wear blue eyeshadow again.
dad, that is rude. you shouldn't hit donald's beak (how do you spell that?) like that.
