It has been busy around here. Melissa and Piper came to visit while Billy was out of town to plan a Young Life trip. She showed up with a fever, but after 36 hours of antibiotic she is well again. Piper is beautiful... very alert and good.
Katie is doing great. I think she looks like Sharla. Sharla is recovering well, but for some reason still walks bent over (c-section)...? Sharla and Katie will go home today, and so will Abby. We have been taking shifts with Sharla and Jake in the hospital, and will start with the home service today.
Abby is a piece of work... Our house is not toddler-proofed... I highly recommend that... wish we were. I am think of building a 6 ft tall fence with a roof in the living room, with a view of the TV. It would have a slot where food and drink could be passed through... it would be for me!
Mimi is still the "Energizer Granny"... but, her batteries don't get enough time on the charger every night... she is showing tiny signs of slowing... tiny signs...
PopPop and Mimi found themselves watching Sesame Street... by ourselves... and commenting on the show... we looked at each other and laughed... I never thought 63 would be quite like this... I had envisioned porch overlooking a hillside... and... quiet... Funny how the grass is always greener... even when you are old enough to know better.
Kim is still here... thank goodness. She is a cook extraordinaire, and an endless helper. Scott is visiting his parents in Corpus Christi. They are buying a new car here in San Antonio and will drive back to Seattle... I called "shotgun"... they laughed at me... I don't think I am invited. They are leaving Friday, I think.
Martha's Sister Sue flies in on Saturday, and will stay a week or so... to help Sharla.
