Melissa is doing much better today, but the doctor says she has to be free of the fever for 48 hours to go home. We are assuming she will go home tomorrow.
Melissa was a very sick Mommy and she has gotten well very slowly. When she got to the hospital on Friday, she really wasn't able to care for Piper. The two of them learned how to nurse while laying flat on the bed. Melissa slept hard most of the day yesterday and Piper was alert and entertaining. Melissa finally started showing signs of recovery around dinner time... as did the rest of us.
Yesterday the curtains were closed, and it was dark... until the sun went down and Melissa's smile came back out and lit up the room.
Today Mellisa is Melissa.
Everything started to change around dinner time yesterday, when they delivered Chicken Fried Steak to Melissa's bedside... God knows that girl.
