Mel with Piper's New Dresser

A very pregnant Melissa with the dresser and changing table I made for Piper Caroline Suess. She is due on June 15th.

The dresser is made from 3/4 inch plywood and Poplar. I think I sprayed about 12 coats of paint on it... I am still learning. I made the molding with an old router bit someone gave me... I had never seen one like it before.

Cynde G. let me photograph and measure a dresser like this. Cynde's was bigger... this one is 5 feet long and heavy. She told me the best part of her dresser was the rounded edges. So I rounded all the edges, and I have to admit... she was right. Thank you Cynde G.

My next project is a small end table to go next to her glider. Then it is on to bigger projects. These two ladies look great. Especially since it was 1 AM! Nest building is hard work...

You guys are kind... Thank you. I do like sketching something and then trying to figure out how to actually make it. And... it helps to have a few thousand dollars worth of equipment.

Hopefully it will last a few years.
