Martha is coming home today...

Yea, Martha is coming home today.

As a guy I know that is a mixed blessing... cleaning... cleaning.

The lawn is done... good. Her flowers are a little wilty... I watered them good and gave them a triple dose of fertilizer... I am hoping they sprout new flowers this afternoon.

Laundry... ahh... no problem. I know we have those new fangled large capacity washer and dryer. We have this cool laundry chute from the master bath to the downstairs laundry room... I measured it... it is 24 X 24 X 60 inches, or 20 cubic feet. The washer holds 7.4 cubic feet. The laundry chute only had 11.6 cubic feet of my dirty clothes. So I split them up half whites and half colors... worked great.

I am surprised at the small size of detergent containers now days... really small... I used it up... need to go to Costco. Everything came out smelling really good. I do need to read the instructions though... I couldn't find the button that would turn all my clothes right side out... Martha always seems to find it... I hate to ask her... Not finding the right side out button created a lot of extra work...

Oh... I did find a pair of Martha's white jeans in the bottom of the laundry chute. I kept eying them... I reeeeallly wanted to put them in the pile of white clothes... but, I have found myself backed up to the precipice after an incident with a sweater... I survived that near death experience in the laundry room... and I have learned a little over the last 40 years... a little. It's the only thing in the laundry chute now... not... I found a bunch of dirty clothes scattered around the house... Abby did it.

Back to work... only 3 hours of freedom left...

Hilarious! This one and the prior 10 posts that I somehow missed until tonight. Jake & I laughed so hard! He especially likes the part about the white jeans and the near-death experience in the laundry room.

I used to love climbing up and down that laundry chute! It was the quickest way to the 1st floor. Umm, y'all did know about that, right?

Somehow I understand everything you said. Must be a guy thing.
