A Good Day

Melissa and Piper had a good day today. They were able to sleep quite a bit. Piper was a little more like a baby today. She cried a few times. We can see no reason why they can't go home tomorrow. Let's hope we are not wrong.

On the humorous side. The nurse came in with a flashlight around 3 AM to give Mel her IV antibiotic. She was very quiet and nice. It looked like some quality sleep was in order. They get settled back down and sleep is finally closing in... and then the aide came in... slammed the door open and flicked on all of the lights and hollered... "time for your vitals". So much for sleep. Piper woke up and wanted to eat. So Piper got fed an hour or so early. An hour later they put a clean diaper on her and wrapped her up in her cocoon... swaddle I think they call it, and put her to bed. They had just laid back down and it is very quiet in the room now... and... Piper poops the noisiest poop you have ever heard... so much for sleeping in a hospital.
