A Visit with Grandma

I had a nice visit with Grandma yesterday... yes, I know she is my Mom... Grandma just sounds right. We took a long drive from Fredericksburg - to Llano - to Mason, and back to Fredericksburg. About 120 miles in all. She really enjoyed it. We stopped for Bar-BQ in Llano... at Coopers... and it was great. I think they even sell their stuff on-line. We were there right at lunch time, and it was packed... we got the last parking space. Mom made it in ok, but had a tough time making it back to the truck. We laughed and talked for quite a while, but she would always come back to - "I didn't know Llano was this long of a drive". I explained we were doing the Hill Country tour today, but I don't think it registered. Anyway she had fun... and I did too. We saw some really bright purple flowers on the way back and made a u-turn to go back and check them out. She was really, really happy we did that. She is still a sweet lady... My Mom.

Dad, that was a great idea to take her on a Hill country drive. Ww should do it again when the leaves change in the Fall..maybe Lost Maples. I am sure she was very blessed by the time with you & the time out seeing the world. Love you
